I would like to hear some ideas on the best type of fishing rods to use for spider rigging?
I have found these to be hard too buy. Being from Indiana where we don't have too many lakes we don't have a very big selection of rods to choose from. When I order them sight unseen then you never know what you are going to get. I need 8 new ones so any help on what too buy and where would sure help.

My son and I fished Sulfer Creek, Eagle Creek, Big Sandy area last week from April 5th-11th and we caught 68. They were tough to find.16'-25' deep with crappie rigs and minnows.

I just bought 2 of the whuppin stix from Cabelas's 12' rod reel combo. I currently was using the Wally Marshall rod reel combo. I found that the fiberglass whuppin stix had more sensitivity and the Cabela reel worked great also. They did have them on the Cabela's web site for $40 per 12' combo. I really liked them due to sensitivity and reels had a nice tight gear ratio, no 1/2 turn back spin, really smooth and nice. Spooled it with my favorite 6 lb test and off they went...Good luck, thought this might help..FISH ON.
