They are still catching some shallow but not many. It's just like kentucky lake they have scattered due to weather and the spawn winding down. The good news is they will be back at their home brush hangouts soon. Better get your brush pile address book handy? Water around Bumpus Mills Marina is at summer pool and stained. I really like the late May and June crappie fishing. Seems to me that once they get over post spawn blues they are much more predictable. Maybe not as fast and furious, but steady.

I'm not the most knowledgeable on this, so others may be able to shed more light. Just seems like easier fishing for me.

I'm with you FishMan It's more like fish hunting than fishing. I like hunting fish. With all the advances in equipment finding fish before fishing can be an adventure in it's self.
Sure will be glad when I get good at it LOL.
