I've been getting killed for 10 straight months at work and I'm finally heading to good ole Paris Landing for 4 days of fishing. There might be some rain here and there and the water level is outrageous, but I don't care. Give me a few days on the water and I'm happy, fish or no fish.

Went out to load my crappie rods and they're gone. Probably someone stole them out of the garage over the winter. Doesn't matter, I'll buy new ones if I have to. Hope they catch some fish on them.

Got my buddys from Michigan coming down and we're going to have a big time.

If you folks ain't doing nothing, come on by Seaton's restaurant about any night an hour after dark and we'll be there eating crappie (they'll cook your catch for you) and telling tales. Look for the guy in the black Lupo's Italian Restaurant hat and come by to say hi. I'll be with two old fellers that ain't from round here. I'm the "young lad" that talks too much. I'll hopefully even get McCadams out for a dinner one night, not to mention guide Ken Riddick will be there loafing around. Tell him you want some gps coordinates for his honey holes.

If you can make it, just give me a call on my cell phone: 731-676-2811 and I'll be happy to meet any of you folks for a drink and some good food at Seatons.

I'll share any fishing info and hopefully you'll be able to share some with me.

Papa Crappie, if you're listening I'll buy you dinner for all you've done for this discussion board. Heck, bring the wife along and I'll buy her dinner too. Would be nice to finally meet you in person.

Warm weather, good friends, 4 days fishing, it's going to be a great weekend.

If I don't see you, may your wind be out of the West at 5 mph and the lake level stable.

You know Steve McCadams? I Have beeen reading his articles for 6 years on Paris Landing web site. He seems to be on top of the game. Let him know that there is a large group of fisherman in central IN that base their trips on his info. L.H.

fishman you didn't miss much! I just got back and it was TOUGH!! Water higher than I've ever seen it and fish are scattered, not to mention the wind! 31 was our best day in 20ft. This time last year we had 90 by lunch about every day!! It's still a week to 10 days away in my opinion.

Fishman, sorry for your loss, the same thing happened to me last year.
I was down last week but never fished. They were catching a few but the high water just shut me down.I'll be back this week.
