i guess everyone is all fired up and raring to go..me too..should have been out there weeks ago..got myself all tied up in changing boats at the wrong time..ran across a 19ft bullet i just had to run for a while..a 900lb light lay up hull..should be a screamer with my slightly modified 175 intruder..had to wet sand and buff it out..it was oxidized bad..gonna put new seats and motor on next week..as late as it is carpet will have to wait..here are a few pics day i brought it home(back last fall) bad oxidation before wet sanding and buffing after all the elbow work didnt turn out bad..just took longer than i thought..i did learn something..dont strip old boat till new boat is ready..hind sight is 20/20 i reckon..well..hope to have some news to report in a week or so..ya'll save me a fish now..good luck..

good looking boat. Do you have to go back and put any type of clear coat on it after wet sanding ? L.H. p.s. glad to hear you are back on-line.

naw..the gel coat was in good shape once i got it cut down..i sanded with 800,1000,1500,and 2000..then used meguires #49 compound..then #45 polish..i still have to put on the finial wax..#56 pure carnuba after i get it rigged out..the dang ole wrinkle finish bullet used back then on the inside is gonna be the worst part of it..not much you can do but clean it..may have to clear the inside..THIS WINTER.. Wink
