Ken, from crappie action charters and the fishman, introduced us to virtical jigging. The boy's are tearing up the walleye, in the St.Clair river,up here. We went out and got the jigging rods,3/4 oz.and 1oz. jigs and verious kinds of plastic. First trip was Monday afternoon for a few hours.Jigging on a big river with a 8 mph.current, was a big challenge, and on top of that it was 32%.We should have tried the boat control thing on a farm pond first. We watched 3 guy's in one boat limited out (18 walleye)then 2guy's in another boat limit and a couple of guy's fishing by them selves. We never had a hit. This system is new to us and I mean,we really got burned. Even had to take the prop off the electric to remove the fishing line. This river is about 35 miles long,a mile across, with Michigan, on one side and Canada, on the other and the whole system is just full of walleye. We are going out this afternoon for another lesson.....65% today.
