Coming down to KY Lake in a few weeks(Mansard Island area) and wondered if the lake is high and if the crappie spawn will be in full swing?

Hey guys..Water is HIGH

This time of yr. normally at 355 ft...now at 362ft.from April 1st to May 1st TVA Normally rases level from 355' to 359'.

This is what they posts as winter and summer levels...They play with it constantly though...

I THINK AT HIGH LEVELS FISH GO IN SHALLOW TO SPAWN. then TVA lowers the water and fish are confused as to what to do...I think some go into deep water to spawn...or maybe just drop their eggs??

Heck I'm to old to try and figure this all out..hard enough time trying to figure out when to take my medicines.

Good luck to all.

Just checked the TVA report...

Looks as though the flood gates are open..at 2 pm today...

83,000 cu.ft. per sec. going through the gates...

That's enough to fill my swimming pool...FAST..

I'm coming down the April 10th-13th and back the 17th - the 20th.I fished at Truman Lake in MO. this past weekend but it was tough. We had a lot of flooding here lately. Hopefully the weather will cooperate once we get down to KY Lake. Look forward to some big slabs!
