I guess it is to hot to fish. LOL It is for me right now. What about some more give a ways? I think that helped some. Most people hate to get on if they have not been fishing, but we need to get on and just talk about fishing when it cools down. Just want to see somebody on line to be sure my computer is not broken.
Agree its to hot to fish ....not really. I have been creek bank fishing for brem just for a time killer....wither 4 wheel it for horse back down to the creek and take my collapsible pole in its little plastic box with some jigs and other lures ....sometimes dig up a worm Just to dang hot to get out on lake in the day and I don't go at night right now because of dang weather......
Either early morning or raining else I would be outside.

Hello all, I've been waiting for some one to post. Being new to the board I didn't want to wear out my welcome. The boy and I have been weathering the heat still and catching a few fish. The weekend of 7/23 we tried a variety approach beginning with a daylight crappie bite. The boy skunked me with 8 or 10 short fish to my none. They were caught in 8 to 11 feet on a point just inside the jonathan creek bridge. Just after 8 we moved to sugar bay in hopes of a deep water bite after a bit we floated to the channel in hopes of a little catfish action. awful quiet there so we ventured back into the mouth of Jonathan again for an afternoon filled with various bluegill species. No size to report but we did bring home 54 mediums and caught upwards of 150. This past week-ends BIG IDEA was a five o'clock venture that would lead us into a friday night crappie attempt. The thunder clapped in the distance as I walked back to the dock.(first sign). We ventured across the bay to the deeper water (Ken-Lake) for about 5 minutes of fishing before the brief weather threat sent us back to the dock. (second sign). Ten minutes later we returned and floated around to nearly dark with only one small stripe as a reward. Moments after we set up for the night the lightning begins to strike the ground and is coming down the lake in a hurry. We pick up loaded the boat and beat the storm only to be stranded at the ramp. Apparantly the seal on the trim motor failed and cooked the motor in the down possition. We waited out the weather and with the assistance of borrowed tools and help were able to raise the motor up at the jack plate enough to release the cross-pin manually. PartsJohnny
can't overlook late February, it's not crowded and there is an occasional rise in the afternoon temp. Not to mention a stir in the fish and the surroundings. PartsJohnny
Have been out several times without much luck. Have followed advise of some good fisherman but it hasn't worked for us. Tried everyting in the tackle box too.
been told that fall is a great time for bass-using shad colored crank baits around shallow stumps or logs. Gonna give it a try this weekend.
Still have a fishing pontoon boat for sale if anyone is looking. e-mail: thayer@aeneas.net
