The other thread is a year old and I need to see if anyone has found any shellcrackers this year? I am hoping pappiecrappie will read this and post, he usually finds them early. Would love to hear from anyone. Mainly in the Big Sandy area. Eeker

Thanks Pappacrappie, I might just have to come down this weekend and give them a shot.

Well, I may not be able to find the crappie all that good, but we went out Sat and Sun and caught our limit of redear. They were huge, males and females. We were fishing in about 3 feet of water about a foot deep with a bobber and redworm. They are up in thick brushbeds and weeded areas. Can't wait for the catfish to start biting real good. Any news on the catfish bite?
